Come On, It's Right There
At work again. Seems to be the center of my universe at the moment, but I'd prefer to associate that with the things I do at work, rather than work itself. However, I would not use today as an example, because feeling like a congealed blob does not a rosy universe make.

Writing has commenced, though, and it's nice. I finished the first draft of a short story a week or two ago (currently about fifty pages long), so I'm letting it simmer a bit before I read it over. In the meantime, I've been tackling Short Story #2, which has all the main plot points worked out but the actual sitting-down-to-write-it element has been sort of wonky. I'd like to think I'll starting ripping through it as soon as my brain has felt like it's solidified a little in my head but, as a famous writer once said, you don't go running just when you feel like it. You know, except it was worded a lot better.

More knitting of the StarSpine Hoodie (working title). I only pick it up every now and then, but the body's about halfway done. Some progress is better than no progress, at least. Gold pullover has pretty much halted right now because I don't have enough needles for the damn sleeves. At least not US 5s, those tricky things.

You know how you find out about something for the first time (or at least in a while) and it just keeps popping up in your life? Christ, just disappear already. Been driving me nuts.

I might repair the archives at some point, but right now I think it's a good thing. Man, I was so different way back when.

Je t'ai croisée
Un samedi soir
Et j'ai jeté sur ta silhouette
Une poignée d'épices colorées
Mon but était clair
