I'm visiting the 'rents right now in Columbus, and it's been very relaxing so far. It feels unusual to have all this free time--no class, no work, nothing for nearly two weeks ahead of me. Unusual, but very nice. Willy is graciously taking care of Zizou while I'm out of town, so I'm missing my kitten, but I'm also glad I didn't have to crate him or anything for the break--he gets to run around and have fun with his cousins instead.
Guess I'll just have to settle with this picture in the meantime. Such a sweet kitty. I hope Nimbus, Ombra, and Mouffle are being nice to him.
He'll be gaining a step-sister when Kalan and I get back to Athens. Kalan is bringing his cat Carly up to live with us, too. She's very sweet as well, and she loves Kalan to death since he rescued her when she was a tiny little kitten at Flatrock. She and Zizou are both very lovable and friendly, so they should take to eachother. Kalan's going to bring Carly up to the apartment before we pick up Zizou so she can get used to the apartment first.
As for the knitting front, I've been working on a sweater vest that's been more of a headache than it was supposed to be. The gauge change is giving me problems, not to mention some aesthetic alterations to the v-neck. It's somewhat of a problem, but I think it's going to turn out nicely when it's done.
Well, I'm tired, and I want to watch the rest of Dr. G, so goodnight.
Je t'ai croisée
Un samedi soir
Et j'ai jeté sur ta silhouette
Une poignée d'épices colorées
Mon but était clair
