Hearing the opening strings in my ears, light gentle wisps of feathers, it takes me back.
I give it to you, because I can
Not too long ago, but just long enough. Back when creativity sprung from my fingers like a spring of fresh rainbow ink, vibrant and free and so, so abundant.
And if you're thinking that it's not that kind It's 'cos my mood swings make me feel ashamed
Characters curled free from the crevices in my mind. They lived, they breathed, they were their own. They were people.
It can pass the time
The gentle harmony takes me back to those people I created; there they were, interacting with one another.
Spinning out from where the hole appears I've never seen her, but I've got photographs
Buried in a stack of smudged, forgotten papers between faded covers. They were suffocating, but I found them. And I'm bringing them back to life.
It can blow your mind.
I've started writing again, and I hope to continue. I want to get all of these people out on paper before they disappear with the rest of my fragile human memory. Crazy amygdala.
Je t'ai croisée
Un samedi soir
Et j'ai jeté sur ta silhouette
Une poignée d'épices colorées
Mon but était clair
