Yellow: The Color of Insanity.
Happy Memorial Day to everyone. I've been enjoying the pleasures of being out of school to the fullest, and thank God I don't feel like a lazy blob. Most of my day consists of TV, books, music, and, of course, crocheting. Inspired by the work Peter's done so far, I decided to make my own rainbow afghan, and it's turning out very nicely. I bought all seven colors ahead of time and have been steadily working through each gigantic ball of yarn. So far I've finished the red and orange, and I've been contentedly working through yellow. I wonder if I'll go crazy from staring at all that yellow for so long? I've found that it takes about ten hours to finish each color (60-inches wide, thirty minutes to crochet 1 row, 20 rows in each color). I finished the red in three days, and the orange in about the same time. I've been crocheting like nuts over here; I hope to finish the yellow before I go to Raleigh this Sunday, which shouldn't be a problem.

A lot of my family members have seen me working on it, and now they want me to make them afghans too. I'm probably going to have to start charging or something, because yarn costs money, and afghans take a long time to make. I'll probably make one for Mom next because she asked first and she really wants me to make her one.

I got a huge amount of money for graduation, so I finally got around to setting up a bank account. I have a good amount in savings and plenty to spare for my checking account; I don't want to be responsible for all that money at home. I'd probably lose it, or Lauren's bed would eat it. I have to use some of it when I get a laptop, which I hope I'll be getting at Raleigh. It'll be nice having my own laptop so I don't have to keep using the diseased desktop here. That damn thing has mood swings, I swear.

Okay, just wanted to let everyone know I'm alive. I'll try to be back again soon.

Je t'ai croisée
Un samedi soir
Et j'ai jeté sur ta silhouette
Une poignée d'épices colorées
Mon but était clair
