Mom and Kristen are in Atlanta right now, on their way to get Eric from Athens. Kristen called me an hour or two ago and told me it was snowing in Atlanta. The snow should migrate down here--all I can see right now is a white sky. Damn you, barren sky!
I'm sick right now; I've had a fever since Thursday, but I feel much better than I used to. Kalan dropped by yesterday and gave me some sour gummy worms, cheddar ramen, and chicken noodle soup to help me feel better; I really appreciated it. Thanks, Kalan! I was probably pretty blah-acting yesterday, I'm sure--I didn't feel too well then. Hopefully I'll be better in the next few days.
The first semester is finally over, and God does vacation feel good! Last week was delicious; I didn't have to take a single final at all. The only tests I had were an AP Gov test on Tuesday and a Humanities music and art test on Wednesday. Not quite sure of how I did on the AP Gov test, but the Humanities one was a cinch. I'm going to miss my Zoology class; I really liked Coach Oliver. I'm not going to miss his tests, though. Good Lord, the man refuses to use multiple choice or matching. I'm sure it pained him to make the final matching, but he made it through somehow. That class is really the only one that's going to change for me next semester, because my first two blocks are alternating day, and fourth block is going from French IV to AP French. I'll have Trig third block with Coach Ingram, and Lauren's going to be in my class; next semester's going to be nice.
As most of you already know, Lauren and I got accepted to UGA! I'm so relieved for that; now I don't have to worry about it anymore. We need to set up our dorms and stuff asap, so we need to figure out what we're doing with Peter and everything. I hope this Oglethorpe thing works.
More music news: Porcupine Tree is officially releasing their new album Deadwing on March 21st on Lava records. I'm disappointed that the release date is much further away than they originall speculated, but I also found out that they will be touring in America in May. There haven't been any set dates yet, but you can be sure as hell that I'll be going. It'll be a great graduation present, so I've already let Mom know about it. I'll probably explode from happiness while I'm there. Here's the tracklist for Deadwing:
1. Deadwing
2. Shallow
3. Lazarus
4. Halo
5. Arriving Somewhere But Not Here
6. Mellotron Scratch
7. Open Car
8. The Start of Something Beautiful
9. Glass Arm Shattering
Very exciting! I can't wait until that thing comes out.
It's hard to believe Christmas is coming up so soon. I really need to get my Christmas shopping together. I also need to walk Dad through buying me some of these Silverchair shirts that are half off because for some reason he didn't order them sooner and now my favorite shirt isn't there anymore. Can't you tell I'm a little annoyed?
Ciao!
