Lazy Days of Summer
mood: content
music: "Blackfield" by Blackfield

I took the liberty of sleeping in this morning since I didn't have to go anywhere. I spent most of the day vegging out with some Harvest Moon-ing. Of course, I did eventually get off my lazy butt and play some tennis with Dad at 7:00. Eric was at work, and Kristen was in Ft. Benning, so Dad and I just played this time. Tomorrow night, all four of us should be able to play then.

The song under my music (along with its identical band name) is something I stumbled across at Porcupine Tree's website. Apparently, Steve Wilson is doing a side project with another guy, and they made a band called Blackfield. I watched the music video for the song, and I was really impressed with it. The song is very good, and I liked the concept of the video. I can't wait until that CD comes out--which also comes out in August, like all the other CDs that I want are.

Kalan went to his orientation at CSU recently, and he told me about the classes he's going to take. He mushed them all into two days a week because he's used to long school days, and it leaves the rest of the week off for his job and stuff. It's a very unique idea--I had never thought of doing something like that. I'll probably spread my classes out throughout the week when I get into college, though.

Mom got our summer reading books today. Man, I never realized "The Grapes of Wrath" was so long--it's over 600 pages. Fortunately, "The Awakening" is only 157 pages, and "The Selling of the President" is a little over 200. I really hope these books are interesting; I have to make book notes on them and write an essay on either "The Grapes of Wrath" or "The Awakening." I plan on starting them tomorrow.

Tomorrow I have another day of nothing to look forward to. Well, and tennis too, so that's good. I love having nothing but relaxing to do.

Je t'ai croisée
Un samedi soir
Et j'ai jeté sur ta silhouette
Une poignée d'épices colorées
Mon but était clair
