mood: joyous (duh)
music: "Without You" by Silverchair
Denton: How are you with Ben and Chris now? Will Silverchair be a band again do you think? A lot of people wonder.
Johns: Yeah. I’m going to put the question to rest after I answer it, because it’s just … boring. Not that you’re boring.
Denton: No, no, it’s quite all right...
Johns: That question’s just asked and asked and asked and ... we will definitely be doing another album. I just don’t know when it’s going to be and as soon as you say that, the next question that someone asks you is going to be "when?"
Denton: I won’t ask you.
Johns: I don’t know when it’s going to be, but we’ll do another album. I really want to give this new project (The Dissociatives) its time and not have it just be a Silverchair side project, because it’s music that has really affected both of us. It has made so many things more possible. It’s an album that’s changed music for me and I didn’t think that I could make music that would change music for me.
Denton: Gee, you’re only 25 and you’ve gone so far musically! I think it’s always going to keep changing for you.
Johns: Yeah, I hope so.
::explodes::
Wheee!!! Damn, that was close! I'm so glad Daniel Johns has finally given a straight answer about Silverchair's status as a band. Whew, I feel better now.
But anyway, we're back in Columbus now. We got back last night at 9:00, and of course, it started to rain while we were unpacking the car. It was a lot of fun being there, and I'm sad we had to leave. There's something about being in North Carolina that gives me the uncontrollable urge to move there. Ah, the homeland . . .
I'm very happy with my iPod! I only have six or seven albums on there right now, but it shouldn't take long to fill the thing up. It's a 15 gig, so it can hold up to 3700 songs. It's got really great audio, too. Aw, I love my iPod. ::snuggles iPod::
Of course, I got sick on the way home, so now I have no voice. It should be just a cold though, so hopefully I'll get better soon.
Chris Vrenna (the main focus of mine lovely Blog) was interviewed in July's issue of GMR, and I tell you, I was quite excited. He talked about the next game he's doing music for and some of the other ones he's done in the past. It's so cool!
Well, since it's after 2:00, I should probably go eat lunch. After all, Lauren and I have to babysit the girl Kristen was supposed to babysit but she's going to a movie instead. She'll get back before the girl has to leave, though, so that's good. It's still annoying since I'm sick. Hopefully we can just stick the girl in front of the TV and let her be until Kristen gets back.
