The Illness Continues.
mood: neutral
music: "Ruby" by Tweaker

Well, I'm still sick, and it doesn't look like I'll be getting better any time soon. Not much else to do but Blog, I suppose.

I didn't sleep very well last night; I woke up every hour, and it didn't even feel like I slept. The night was very long, and the fact that it wasn't completely dark in the room didn't help me sleep. It's hard for me to sleep when it's not pitch black, especially when I can't fall asleep very well. Fortunately, the lack of sleep hasn't affected me during the day--it just made last night very uncomfortable.

I was reading about Tweaker's newest album "2 am Wakeup Call" that came out last April, and the premise of it is very interesting. Basically, Chris Vrenna's wife got insomnia at some point, and she always seemed to wake up at 2 in the morning. Eventually, Chris got it too, and he would wake up at the same time as she did; during that time that he was awake, he gained a lot of creative inspiration, and wrote all of the songs for his next album. He says that the album is "a nighttime record about dreams, nightmares, and insomnia -- things that keep us up at night." Man, I want it so much! Unfortunately, Mom can't find anyone who has it on Mirc, so I don't know how to get it. I guess I'll just have to wait until someone downloads it.

I've been very lazy these past few days, which is great because there really isn't anything that I should be doing right now. The weird thing about our thermometer is, it can only measure temperature in celsius--something screwed up in it the last time I was sick, and we don't know how to fix it. So, when I take my temperature, I have to look it up and convert it to fahrenheit on the internet. It's actually kind of funny.

Well, I'm probably going to go now; I don't know what I'm going to go do, but I'll figure something out. See you later.

Je t'ai croisée
Un samedi soir
Et j'ai jeté sur ta silhouette
Une poignée d'épices colorées
Mon but était clair
