Michael's funeral will be Thursday at 4. I can't really describe how I feel right now; most of the emotion went into my diary already. I cry every day about him, mainly because I was so close to him last Friday. If only I had gone inside. I could've seen him one more time. That's my biggest regret; I haven't seen him since early October. I just want to see him again and give him a hug. I am glad that Lauren and I gave him such a great Valentine's Day present, though. I wish I could have gotten his opinion on the CDs.

I found out that he was truly dying exactly one month before he left, January 23. The Sunday before that, when I was tuning my guitar, one of the strings broke. That was the same day Michael's health dropped dramatically, and Mrs. Miles had to call in Hospice. A few days later I wrote a song about Michael. I want to post it here.

Letters After the Clock Broke

Dear angel, I have
A question I have to ask of you
But please do not laugh
I know it's kind of obvious
Because I know you

But is it hard to look down
And see all you once knew
And never come back
But don't you cry; we're alright
We'll all come to see you
Sooner or later
We may never know

Oh, angel I can
Almost see you up in the clouds
Watching over us
And I know you will always be there
When I need you

It must be hard to look down
And see all you once knew
And never come back
But don't you cry; we're alright
We'll all come to see you
Sooner or later
We may never know
We may never know

(Interlude)

It must be hard to look down
And see all you once knew
And never come back
But don't you cry; we're alright
We'll all come to see you
Sooner or later

But don't you cry; we're alright
We'll all come to see you
Sooner or later
We may never know
We may never know

I love Michael so much; I hope he can hear me when I play songs for him.

Je t'ai croisée
Un samedi soir
Et j'ai jeté sur ta silhouette
Une poignée d'épices colorées
Mon but était clair
