music: "Orange Moon" by Project Pitchfork
::pries self out of room:: Ugh! Free! ::throws guitar into room:: Eek!! ::runs into room and sets guitar carefully onto guitar stand:: Phew. ::sits in front of computer::
I've been a hermit for the past few days, shut away in my room. Mostly listening to music and writing more songs--I've got four new ones floating around in my head and I've been too lazy to write them down. Two out of the four have names that may or may not be changed due to the subject of the actual song: the first is "Wallflower" and the second is "All for Naught." I really need to write some songs down--I don't want to lose them! The third is a quiet song, and the fourth is pretty upbeat, which is weird because I haven't written a happy song yet and this might be the first. I was just sitting there the other day thinking "I want a happy song I can play whenever I'm in the mood" because sometimes I want to be all corny and play a happy song every now and then so I just got a good chord progression down for the refrain. I don't intentionally try not to write happy songs, it just comes out that way. Some of them are not sad, just kind of neutral, I guess. I'll probably shut myself in my room for the next few days and write those songs before I forget them.
Halloween was so much fun! I'm sure everyone has seen the pictures at Lauren's blog by now. I really shouldn't be having so much candy, but I don't want it to go bad, so what can I do but eat it? ::munches candy:: ::throws some to Dante and Delano:: It was great having Peter over!
Good news! I talked to Mrs. Tymniak the other day about my predicament with All State auditions and she gave me an additional week to turn in my project! Yay! I don't feel as stressed anymore! Now I should probably start working on it!
I feel a little better about All State auditions next Saturday--I still need to work on my solo though, because I haven't looked at it since last year. It's only a page though, so it shouldn't be too hard to remember. It's really easy too. It makes me wonder why some of the other people in chorus are picking these hard solos. Are they trying to show off or something? Why not just pick an easy one? We're all going to the same place anyway--I'd rather better my chances of passing the audition with an easy solo than try to impress some judges who don't want to be there in the first place with a complicated one. Think, people.
And Nori! Love your new blog! It's so cute! I got to watch Lauren make it. My favorite HP character is Lupin. I like Snape, too. He's such a bitch XD.
I'm hungry, so I'm going to scavenge the downstairs and take it back up to the haven that is my room so I may compose my music in peace.
