music: "Across the Night" by Silverchair
God! I am so HORRIBLE at updating!
Well, part of it really isn't my fault--I haven't had the chance to get on the internet in over a week, and every time I do Mom is always badgering my about how I'm on so much and all that crap. Out of my sibs and I, I get the least computer time. I guess I should catch up with what's been going on.
Lauren and I went to the TA retreat all Labor Day weekend, and I really liked it. There was kind of a lot of Christian music, but I survived well enough--I listened to A Perfect Circle on the way home to make up for it. The retreat helped me get a lot off my chest that's been bothering me, so that's good. I just didn't like the fact that it took up the entire weekend, since we got home at 8:00 on Monday.
This week has been really bitchy for me because there was so much stuff I had to do, and it being a short week made it even more straining to get it all done. All State Chorus practices started this week, so I'll have to stay after school three days a week from now until the first audition in a few months. The Volunteer Work was a major bitch too, but that was mainly my fault. I had to write the entire journal for my work that I did the first week school was out last year, and I had to put together the photo album as well, which I did yesterday. The only thing that I really liked this week was going to Burger King with the Miles. Michael was there too, and it was fantastic seeing him again. It made me realize how much I've missed him--I hadn't seen him since the Springer, and that was awhile ago. He's up at Emory right now, getting some treatment. I hope he's doing fine up there. I miss him already.
I wrote a letter to Kim two days ago, but I haven't gotten around to sending it yet because of the service hour crap and All State practice. I'll try to send it as soon as possible. I like sending letters to people a lot more than e-mail--it's more personal that way, and I like getting mail for a change.
I've done absolutely nothing today, besides part of my homework. I basically just played some of my songs on my guitar and fiddled around with some chords and a capo for the heck of it. I'll probably put them all together and write a new song when I'm not feeling so lazy. I've been lazy because I turned in my volunteer work today, so now I feel very freeeeee. I'm also staying up later than I should, so I'll be going to bed fairly soon.
And yes, Lauren has been plaguing me with her gigantic wound.
