mood: warm and fuzzy
music: "Sugar" by Tonic

I'm kind of happy that we didn't go to Raleigh today; so much good stuff has happened.

I've discovered the wonderful world of dropped-D tuning on my strat, so I've been playing around with it all day. I just wish people would submit more tabs to Tabcrawler sometime; I can't play any songs from the newer bands I've been listening to, like Abandoned Pools, Seven Channels, the new Oleander CD, Prime Sth, and Skindive. Lauren and I introduced Abandoned Pools to Michael, and he loves it ^-^. I really really like them too, and I wanna play some of their songs sometime. I printed out a bunch of tabs from Tabcrawler and learned how to play those, including "Remember" and "Angel" from Stabbing Westward, "Sugar" and "Waltz With Me" by Tonic, "Innocent" by Fuel, and "Sick Cycle Carousel" by Lifehouse. Needless to say, I've been quite busy today ;).

Another thing that I'm glad about staying here today is that Eric, Lauren, and I got to go to game night for the Holy Family Youth Group at St. Mary's Hall. There weren't a lot of people there because of Spring Break, but it was a lot of fun. There was a lot of chicken there, and the CDs that were brought were great. The first thing that all of us played was Bonko, which was really fun. Lauren won five bucks from it. Then Lauren, Michael, and I played some black jack until Laura and Eric wanted to play a different card game with us. So, we all played Go Fish, which was pretty interesting. It got even more interesting when we started betting money. I ended up winning the first and only game, earning myself a whopping twenty-five cents.

My gambling skills have never come in more handy ;).

We had to leave at eight, so we said our goodbyes and went home. The rest of the night was spent by Lauren, Eric, and me beating the crap out of eachother in Super Smash Bros. Melee, eating ice cream and watching Adult Swim. Ah, what a wonderful life I live. ^-^

Je t'ai croisée
Un samedi soir
Et j'ai jeté sur ta silhouette
Une poignée d'épices colorées
Mon but était clair
